How We Work with SMEs

When we work with SMEs, we usually deliver our consultancy services via the following process:

  • We start by speaking with the owners or senior directors
  • We make sure that we fully understand their key objectives
  • We then speak with relevant staff to understand current operations
  • We audit the way that the business is currently performing vs it’s competitors
  • We suggest some new strategies, along with clear plans of action to improve performance.
  • We help the companies to implement those strategies
  • We then help them to monitor their performance

However, this process can always be very flexible based on the needs of the relevant business.

We can also offer a range of different service packages to suit most budgets.

Who We Define as an SME

Usually, we don’t apply any set criteria for which companies are defined as an “SME.

However, most of our SME clients tend to display the following characteristics:

  • The size of the business is usually relatively small
  • Most staff are usually aware of all key developments
  • The company usually doesn’t have a specialist team across all relevant service areas
  • The business leaders are usually close to the relevant operations
  • They usually have the final say on most key decisions

When we work with an SME, we’re also usually more hands-on in the delivery of all recommended services, rather than being mostly focused on consultancy and training.

And that’s because SMEs tend to have less specialist in-house staff to work with, along with less restrictions on how an agency is allowed to operate.

Therefore, we usually focus on building a strong rapport at the start of each new relationship.
