When it comes to AI transformation services, we always enjoy working with SMEs to:
“Level the playing field” when competing against large companies
Engage the company’s most senior people with all key decision making
Drive and measure improved results across all parts of the business
And usually, we’re able to make an even faster impact for smaller companies than we are with large ones.
That’s because most of their processes are even less automated when we begin to work with them. And because they’re usually competing in a far less competitive landscape (from a digital perspective).
AI is going to change everything. It’s going to make our lives easier, and it’s going to make us more productive.

How We Work with SMEs
When we work with SMEs, we usually deliver our consultancy services via the following process:
We start by speaking with the owners or senior directors
This is to make sure that we fully understand their key objectives for the business.
We then speak with relevant staff to understand how the business is currently operating.
We audit the way that the business is currently performing vs it’s competitors.
We suggest some new strategies and some clear plans of action to improve performance.
We help the companies to implement those strategies.
We then help them to monitor their performance.
However, this process can always be very flexible based on the needs of the relevant business, and we can also offer a range of different service packages to suit most budgets.
Who We Define as an SME
Usually, we don’t apply any set criteria for which companies are defined as an “SMEs, or which ones are classed as ambitious large organisations. However, most of our SME clients do tend to display the following characteristics:
The size of the business is usually relatively small
Most staff are usually aware of all key developments
The company usually doesn’t have a specialist team across all relevant service areas
The business leaders are usually close to the relevant operations
They usually have the final say on most key decisions
When working with an SME, we’re usually more hands-on in the delivery of all recommended services, rather than being mostly focused on consultancy and training. And that’s because SMEs tend to have less specialist in-house staff to work with, along with less restrictions on how an agency is allowed to operate. On the other hand, larger companies tend to require different types of engagement with a larger number of stakeholders. Therefore, we usually work closely with each client at the start of each new relationships, to help them identify the type of package and service level that will be right for them.
